Kedington Steam & Vintage Show

At the end of July 2016 Kedington Community Association held the first Kedington Steam & Vintage Show in conjunction with the East Anglian Traction Engine Society (EATES), which proved to be a huge success.

The event brings together an assortment of vintage machinery and items from a bygone age. On display there are a selection of steam engines (large and small), vintage tractors and classic cars, as well as a variety of craft and trade stalls / auto jumble and food wagons. Also a bar with real ale, ciders, wines and soft drinks; and teas, coffees and cakes from the Centre Café. We also hold two free music nights in the Centre hall, with acoustic sets from local bands and musicians.

For further information regarding the current year’s Kedington Steam & Vintage Show, please see the What’s on page events calendar. If you would like to get involved, either as a volunteer to help set up, man the bar or Centre Café, help with the music nights, or as an exhibitor, or to book a trade stall, please contact Matt Garwood.

Kedington Steam & Vintage Show 2018

Thanks to everyone for your support for this year’s Show, whether you came along to see the event, attended our music nights, or were one of the many volunteers who help to make the Show a great success.

During the weekend around 2,000 people came through the gates of the Great Meadow. We were pleased to see many classic and vintage vehicles returning, as well as welcoming many new ones. We were delighted to have so many interesting vehicles and things to see, including a good number of old buses and coaches. We are very fortunate to have our own bar with real ales and ciders (and much more), and the Centre Café for homemade cakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks, a fantastic draw and unusual for a steam rally.

Together we raised an incredible £5,000 to go towards supporting our Community Centre and Great Meadow, and securing next year’s Show on 27–28 July 2019.

Kedington Steam & Vintage Show 2017

On behalf of the Show committee and the KCA, I would like to thank everyone for your fantastic support, and making 2017’s Show so memorable. The help we received in preparation, laying out, running the show and packing up was amazing.

A huge thank you to all the 3,000 visitors who joined us on the Great Meadow over the weekend.

Together we have raised an incredible £7,000 which will go towards supporting our Community Centre and securing next year’s Show on 28–29 July 2018.
